Reforestation
Reforestation is the process of replanting trees and selecting seedlings that will thrive to create healthy forests for generations to come. Cones are collected and marked based on location and elevation. These cones provide seeds that are then planted and grow into seedlings for planting. Reforestation programs are major part of forestry and conservation that yield better air and water quality, enhanced wildlife habitat, greater biodiversity and ecosystem sustainability, healthier forests, reduced soil erosion, and increased timber production.
